Another achievement for Faisal in only his first four months as local MP
Faisal Rashid, MP for Warrington South, has welcomed news that a new Post Office is set to open in Lymm Village in November.
During Faisal’s election campaign and then as the newly elected MP the biggest issue raised with him by residents in Lymm was the lack of a Post Office or banking facilities.
Since his election in June Faisal has called for these vital services to be provided in the Village.
Following his calls the Post Office has now announced that it will operate a new service from 4 The Cross, Lymm, WA13 OHP, two doors away from the previous branch.
Faisal Rashid MP said:
“I am delighted to hear that Lymm residents will finally have a new Post Office in the Village. This is great news.
“I know from the many conversations I have had with residents and businesses in Lymm that the lack of a Post Office or bank has been a major concern. The loss of the Post Office and bank has been a real barrier for people trying to access the services, particularly for older people unable to drive.
“I was committed to resolving this issue and I am really pleased to hear that I have helped to deliver these vital service for Lymm in only my first four months as the local MP.
“The new facility is set to open in November and in the coming weeks I will be working with the Post Office to ensure that the services on offer are tailor made and meet the needs of local residents and businesses. I have been assured that the banking services will be accessible as per Post Office provision.
“As the MP for Warrington South I will continue to work hard on behalf of all local residents in every part of the constituency I represent.”
