I pledge to continue my fight to make sure that Warrington gets a brand new hospital building.
Warrington Hospital is in desperate need of a new building and updated facilities. I visited the hospital back in August and spoke with CEO, Mel Pickup, and a number of staff, who repeatedly voiced their concerns with the current building, parts of which are over 100 years old. I have since written a letter to the Secretary of State for Health, Matt Hancock, to press for central government investment in a new building.
Securing investment in our NHS, staff and infrastructure is critical. A Government with a long-term plan for the NHS would invest in a new, all-purpose hospital facility in Warrington. I will continue to press the Government until Warrington gets the healthcare investment it deserves.
